A Good Honolulu Hotel outside...
- What did you like most?The hotel was in a nice area with easy walking (9 minutes) to the beach and to a variety of eating places. So good location; but note that it is NOT on Waikiki Beach. The view of Honolulu from the 12th floor was great. Coffee set up was available in the room. We attended the free Monday Wine & Cheese reception and had a great time! The waiters were generous and a man sang to provide entertainment. A fun hour and unusual amenity (in a positive way!).
- Was there anything you didn't like?This hotel is definitely not sound proofed! I woke up at 6 am to people tromping around upstairs with conversations I could almost make out! You can definitely hear the street noise from below, despite being on the 12th floor. I'm noise sensitive so it would be okay if these things don't usually bother you. The room did NOT have a microwave, which is negatively surprising as I haven't been in a hotel for 10+ years without one! It did have a toaster oven, mini-kitchen set up with dishes, etc. and a coffee maker & coffee, refillable from the Hotel Check-in. And I didn't get my Hawaiian cookies upon check out!!!
Hidden gem, a short walk...
- What did you like most?Excellent location. Clean, comfortable and stylish room. Welcoming lobby, excellent staff. Nice bbq area. Complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas. Quieter area of Waikiki. Manager’s wine and cheese party with hula dancers.
