Reliving the Gold Rush

The Old Sacramento Schoolhouse Museum is a replica of a traditional one-room school that were found throughout the Sacramento Valley and Sierra Nevada foothills during the 1800s. Authentic and replica schoolhouse fixtures furnish the building. Kids who visit the schoolhouse are treated to an arithmetic lesson by a volunteer docent dressed as costumed schoolmarms and school masters.

The Old Sacramento Schoolhouse Museum is located at 1200 Front Street.
